Me! Me! Me! I am!
One of the million things I love about Spring is the chance to bring out more summery fabrics and patterns, and one of my absolute favorites of these is seersucker. Nothing screams warm sunshine and summer like a cheery seersucker print. I've rounded up a few of my favorite seersucker finds for both you and your home. I hope you enjoy.
EmersonMade Seersucker and Brass Dress
I love this dress! And the only way I found it was because two of my favorite blogs (and daily reads), The Glossarie and Katy Elliott, featured this on their sites within a few days of each other. I think it is fate that this dress should be mine. And what do you know ... I have a summer wedding to attend that it just might be perfect for. Hmmmm. Daydreaming aside, I just love how the brass buttons tone down the sweetness of the seersucker. That cut looks like it would be so flattering too.
j.crew Seersucker Pencil Skirt
I also love this Seersucker Pencil Skirt by j.crew. The pencil skirt fit makes the seersucker feel more modern and "grown up." I could do a bunch with this skirt. Maybe pair it with a fitted short sleeved sweater and a satin ribbon belt in a bright color like orange or pink for work. Or how about a fun patterned halter for a summer party, maybe in a lime green big bold floral? I kind of want this a lot.
Modcloth Yacht to Trot Shorts
After a long hiatus, I am getting back into shorts for Summer. These Yacht to Trot Seersucker Shorts by Modcloth are adorable. I'm not sure that I (at 5'1") could pull them off, but I know a bunch of you might be able to. I think they are so cute, and probably pretty comfy to boot.
Yellow Seersucker Shoe Clips
Adore. I'm not sure what more I can say. Wouldn't these be so sweet for bridesmaids to wear on their shoes in a cute summer wedding? Love love love them. They're the Yellow Seersucker Shoe Clips from the Etsy shop Black Satin Shoes. What a great way to change up shoes you already own for hardly any cash.
If your guy (uh, or if you are a guy who) doesn't want to wear a full-on seersucker suit, a crisp seersucker tie is a nice alternative. This would look great with a khaki or light tan colored suit for a similar summery effect. Love this Seersucker Necktie from the Etsy shop me and matilda. This might be a perfect Father's Day present for Tye.
Kate Spade Seersucker Tote
I'm not sure what I love best about this tote: the yellow seersucker, the shape or the fact that it's patent leather. I love love love it. It's the kate spade seersucker patent treesh tote and boy, does Kate Spade know how to make me swoon.
and now moving on to the home!
Seersucker & Whale Coasters
West Elm Seersucker Place mats
Um, I want these. Seriously, I have to have them. Maybe this will be my first DIY project involving the little sewing machine that I got for Christmas. But failing that, these Seersucker Placemats by West Elm might have to be an addition to my place mat collection.
West Elm Pleated Ruffle Pillow Cover
Isn't this so sweet? I love the ruffles and the mix of patterns. I think it would look great with so many colors, but wouldn't it look terrific with yellow or stem green or pink? It's the Pleated Ruffle Pillow Cover by West Elm.
Country Curtains Seersucker Tie-Up Curtains
I think you all know my affinity for the tie-up drape shade. I have them all over my house and made a DIY version for my mother-in-law. I love these ready-made Savannah Seersucker Tie Up Curtains by Country Curtains. They'd be perfect in a nursery or bedroom, a casual beachy-vibe den or living room or even a kitchen.
Blue Seersucker Flower Pillow
This is designed to be a ring-bearer pillow for a wedding, but I don't think that would (er ... will [I am so buying this]) stop me from buying it for my home. I love that oversized flower in the sweet blue seersucker. I really, really love it. I found this one on Etsy in the Sweet B Papers shop.
So now you see that I truly am a sucker for seersucker. Which is your favorite of the above picks? Did I miss something in seersucker-land that you think I absolutely must see (and buy)? Please do feed my obsession.
See you swoon,
