Before & After: Wall Sconces

I love me some before and afters!  Our living room had two wall sconces that I liked but there was something that just rubbed me the wrong way about them.  I have not done much to this room yet mostly because I cannot figure out what kind of armchairs I want to put in there and I am avoiding throwing furniture in there just for the sake of filling the room.

The next step will be the wall color and a few coats of fresh white paint on the woodwork,  hopefully the rest will fall into place after seeing the color pallet start to come together but for now, another small upgrade for you to enjoy.

I had planned on purchasing the Pottery Barn sconces you see below but just happened to be in Lowes (my new favorite store) and stumbled upon the set you will  see below in the after shot which have a similar feel for a fraction of the price, uh, yes please!  I think the issue was the frosted glass just felt very closed off, funny how picky you can be over these small little details.

Here is the before shot of the sconces:

Here are the Pottery Barn Sconces for $179.00 on sale for a set of two:

Rustic Glass Sconce, Clear

This is the new sconce in my living room.  I am contemplating painting the silver to match the Pottery Barn color above, this is a minor detail but will flow much better with some of the other plans I have (Lowes sconces $5.99 each and the design on the glass makes a really pretty pattern on the walls at night, BONUS!):

See you swoon,
