After two years of marriage I finally ordered some wedding pictures

It's true.  I have been married for just over two years and finally ordered wedding pictures.  The amazing part is that after the wedding I was so excited to get all of my photos back and it took me this long to actually order them!

So after 2 years of marriage and a year of living in my first home, the wedding photos have arrived, HALLELUJAH!  I decided to take down the previous owners shelf that has been hanging on the wall since we moved in.  Previously we had a picture of our first baby, Speedo (baby boy cat, I know this sounds crazy) sitting on these shelves but the wall left something to be desired, see here:

Ignore all the packaging. However, this is what the fun item came in :)

Shanna sent me a link to a beautiful Pottery Barn picture frame (I know here we go again, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn but truly we cannot get enough!)  Of course I fell in love with the frame at first sight and bought it.  It wasn't on sale but it was the perfect frame for my space so I sucked it up and paid the price.  Sometimes when you find the perfect piece to fill your home you just have to go for it.

Here is the frame on the Pottery Barn website, a frame with a double sided matte so it's like two frames in one (practically $20  frame, not bad eh?, Yes I am justifying my purchase right now) :

Shanna and I agreed that the white matte would look best in my front room, especially because I have another project coming up with burlap that you will just have to keep reading to see, I hope to have it done this week.

So this is my wall now with one of my very first wedding pictures to grace my home:

Much better and I love how homey it feels having pictures of me and my husband around the house, funny how that works huh?  Any quick fixes around your home making a huge impact?  Hope you all had a great weekend!

See you swoon,

  1. Beautiful photos!

And don't worry -- we are at 3.5 years with no album to show for it - yet!

  2. Jenny, this actually makes me feel a lot better! However, now that I have taken the plunge, you should join me in wedding album/photo bliss!
