About Jamie

I have started and stopped writing this blog about 20 times trying to figure out the best way to introduce myself, you would think it would be easy to talk about yourself  but it has been one of the hardest things I have done in a long time.  After weeks of opening and closing my laptop I am ready to begin and give you a peak into my world, get ready!

My name is Jamie, I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia with my husband Kelly and our two cats (babies), Speedo and Macy, be prepared to hear more on them from time to time.  I have lived in this area my entire life and I am pretty sure I will stay here forever, the idea of having an adventure and living somewhere totally different is very appealing but I love being close to my friends and family so much that I don’t think I can ever bring myself to leave them.  I went to Montgomery County Community College where I obtained my Associates degree in Business and went on to Temple University where I majored in Tourism and Hospitality Management with dreams to someday to break into the wedding industry.  While going to school I met Kelly, and from the moment he told me he could cook I fell in love!  Kelly and I were married in August of 2009 and it was the most amazing day of my life, I keep trying to get Kelly to agree to do it again, but like most men, he will not even entertain this conversation, not to mention my dress does not fit (oh yes I have tried it on again, NOT recommended).

Through my experiences at school and working with a local event planning company I found my true passion for organizing and styling events.  It has taken me some time to get back to this point; I fell back on my business degree for sometime but have always known in the back of my mind that I would find a way to work in this industry again.  I could not be happier to have Shanna as my amazing business partner and as an added bonus she is my sister-in-law!  I am a very organized person and love anything that has to do with files, lists and labels…and Excel spreadsheets. I find myself re-organizing my closets on a monthly basis just to fill the need to keep things orderly (thank god Kelly is so understanding and can deal with the mess as I tear the house apart).  Planning my wedding was fun and challenging but one of the things I enjoyed the most was writing list after list and then writing them again as the tasks were completed.

There are so many things on a daily basis that I draw inspiration from and I cannot wait to share it all with you.

See you swoon,
