What I Wore {post 30}

First "what I wore" post of 2014!  These are all outfits I wore in December.  I lost my mind a little at the Loft After-Christmas sale where everything was 50% off ... so I think I may do a specific post on that coming up soon.

Mustard Knit Dress & Ombre Cardigan

All of this outfit is old old old.  I got the knit mustard dress from Anthropologie back in 2009.  It is, quite honestly, a little too big, but I rectify that by wearing a belt and a cardigan over it. I don't think the dress can be altered because of the material and the cut.  The cardigan is also from 2009 and from j.crew.  It's an ombre polkadot and reads either black or dark brown, depending on what you wear with it.  It's a fun little outfit.  I wore with my tall brown boots.

Silk Cream Contrast Blouse & Black Pants & Red Heels

I love this blouse.  I wore it with my tweed pencil skirt awhile ago and decided to wear it with my black pants and red pumps for a client meeting.  The blouse is very long, so I'd love to wear it on a casual Friday over skinny jeans and maybe with a belt for a totally different look.  But today was down to business, except for the pop of red on my feet.

Retro Minidress & Jimmy Choos

Christmas party!  Woo hoo!  I can't tell you the last time I was invited to a holiday party.  So when my friend Colleen sent out invites, I tonto jumped on it.  The invitation was fancy, so I decided to get a little fancy myself.  I bought this retro mini-dress at a little shop in Ocean City New Jersey years ago with my friend Heather.  It was so cute and I loved it and it was about $30!  I usually wear it with tights because it is very short, but for a Christmas party, I decided to go bare legged and wear my favorite fancy Jimmy Choo shoes.   The dress has a definite Missoni vibe to it.  But with a Missoni-for-Target price tag.

What is it about this time of year that gives me the itch to go shopping?  Jamie and I are headed to Lancaster in a few weeks - it's Pottery Barn and Christmas Tree Shops specific, but I can't guarantee that will be all.

Happy merry 2014.

See you swoon
