Swoon-Worthy Venue: Manor House at Commonwealth

The Manor House at Commonwealth is a beautiful 18th century farmhouse overlooking the golf course and gardens of Commonwealth National Golf Course located in Horsham,PA.  I had to take the time to tell you about this amazing venue since I got married there!  The staff was excellent and made it their priority to make my guests and of course Kelly and me feel like we were their only priority.  I know every venue should do this and of course I am partial since I used this particular venue but I have been to many weddings I can say I was truly impressed with service from beginning to end.  I have heard the food was amazing from every person I talk to about our wedding, I was too excited to eat, sitting down was not really an option (looking back of course I wish I had tried my entree at least) due to the fun I was having running around in my dress and saying hi to everyone!
One aspect that sold us on this location was the wrap around veranda that was off both the cocktail area and the ballroom.  I loved the feeling of openess and at allowed our guests to come in and out without feeling like theyever left the party.  With an amazing sunset over the hills and the romance of the candelight coming from the lanterns this vnue stands out from the rest.
Look at these photos, I am sure you will love the location as well!

Tes us about a venue that you loved, whether you were a guest or the host, we love pictures too!

Swoon-Worthy Sites: More Affordable Art Ideas -- Etsy!

A month ago, I blogged about an inexpensive, yet super cute, way to add art to your home by re-purposing a Susy Jack calendar and framing it.  Today I have another option: Etsy.  For those of you who are not familiar with Etsy, it is an online community where people buy and sell handmade items.  And there is plenty of terrific, inexpensive art.   Below are my favorite shops.  One way to navigate Etsy a bit easier is to find a few shops and sellers that you like and see who they recommend or "heart".  That is how I find my favorite sellers.

I adore the prints by Sixth and Main. They are light and bright and just so lovely.  And most are under $15!  Gotta love an absolutely stunning bargain.

These prints have a sort of modern-vintage feel to them. They're whimsical and sweet, and perfect in their simplicity.  Totally frame-worthy, and swoon-worthy to boot!

Ooh-la-la.  Gotta love this super-talented seller, who has French-inspired prints and books. If you have been to Paris, you can quickly see that she manages to capture the feel of Paris in her photos.  Love.

Are you an Etsy-addict like I am? If you are, please share the shops you heart. I'd love to add more to my list!

See you swoon,

{Note: the above sellers have not perked or paid us for singing their praises. We just think they're fabulous!}

Swoon-Worthy Site: Anthropologie Home

Today I bring to you some of my favorite Anthropologie tabeltop and serving items that I would love to grace my table with on any given day, you do not need to have a party to break these out of the cabinet.  With the bright colors and fun designs you will want to use them every chance you get.  As I get closer and closer to owning my own home I will be bringing to you more and more household items that strike my fancy so that we can all enjoy them together.  I must assure you all that I will still be shopping online so my What Would Jamie Wear topics will be making an appearance again very soon, you didn't actually think I could give up that vice did you?!
L.O.V.E.

I love that even though anyone can walk into the store and buy the same home decor you always feel like what you are buying has an original one of a kind feel to it.  What are some of your favorite places to shop for your home decor?
See you swoon,

Swoon Worthy Style Icon: Cate Blanchett

I'm really loving featuring a swoon-worthy style icon each week. I hope you are too!  I've been kind of stuck in the 50s and 60s in weeks past, so this week is a refreshing trip to the present.  Up today: Cate Blanchett.  I have to give her credit, she nails it on the red carpet.  I love seeing what she shows up wearing, because year after year, red carpet after red carpet, she continues to surprise and amaze with her unpredictable, indefinable and yet totally amazing and stylish choices.  I hope you enjoy some of my favorite Cate Blanchett looks.

Which is your favorite Cate look? Hands down: I love the yellow gown with the crimson sash.  It wowed me when she first wore it and it continues to wow. Swoon.

See you swoon,

Coworkers at Wedding - Yay or Nay?

Deciding on whether to invite your co-workers to your wedding can be a very tough decision. You want to be sure not to offend anyone that you have to see every day but you also have think about your wallet too!  Of course everyone has a different situation and relationship with their colleagues so this is not completely black and white but I can at least share my opinion with you.
Speaking from personal experience, I did not invite any of my co-workers to my wedding, not because I was not close with some of them but because I did not want there to be any hard feelings from those who I was not close with but had to work closely with every day.  So to avoid an conflict I decided that going with none or all was for me, and non it was.  Co-workers should understand this, unless of course some of your co- workers are your best friends.
The other thing I took into consideration was whether I wanted to spend some of my precious wedding budget on inviting people I was not close with and look back on pictures of people I would probably not have in my life for the long term.  I would have loved to invite a couple friends from my former job `since I do still talk to a couple of them but looking back on it now I know I made the best decision for my situation.
So what are your thoughts?  Have you invited work friends to your wedding or are you thinking about it now?
See you swoon,
