What I Wore {post 56}

Happy Friday!

A word about my "what I wore" photos - I know the quality is terrible.  I have been using an iPhone 4, circa July 2011, and the camera (and the phone) pretty much gave up.  I have a shiny and new iPhone 6 and the photo quality is amazing.  But first, I have to use up these old ones.  So, the pictures will get better from here on out.  I promise.

* Black Dress & Black/White Print Cardigan *

Dresses are my go-to when I need an outfit fast.  I've had this dress, a simple matte jersey sheath, from Ann Taylor going on 14 years now.  It has a bateau neckline and is perfect in the Summer on its own or in the Spring and Fall with a cardigan.  I wore my printed cardigan (super old from Talbots), red pumps and my funky red and gold necklace with the dress.

* Grey Suit & Lace Shell *

I had a court appearance this day.  One thing I love about court day is I don't have to give much thought at all to what I'm wearing - it's a suit.  I just have to decide which suit and which shirt underneath.  This is a suit from The Limited and the shell is from j.crew a few years ago.  The cab ride selfie was in response to selfies that Amy and Bill took on their mini get-away to the Bahamas.  They sent me selfies from the resort.  I wanted to make them super jealous by letting them know where I was.

* Tunic Dress, Boots & Tights *

I am so sorry about these pictures.  They are so blurry!  Anyway, I got this dress from Nordstrom.  I tried it a few weeks ago, but with a bare leg, and it wasn't quite right for work.  It got cooler, so I tried it again with tights and that was a winning, office-appropriate look.  I like this dress a lot.

Have a great weekend!  On tap for me is soccer and then heading home to my parents' house with the kids for the weekend.  On Sunday I'll run in my hometown, which is one of my favorite places to run, with my friend Heather, who is one of my favorite people in the world.  It's her penultimate long run for the Philly marathon.  See you back here on Monday.

See you swoon,
